National Skills Competition Going
On For IT, Electronic Applications

Begawan – Participants of the National Skills Competition are
showing their skills in Computer Aided Drawing and Design (CADD),
information technology trade and electronic applications at the Brunei
Institute of Technology in Rimba, Gadong.
The three skills competition opens
today and winds up on October 8,
In the CADD section, mechanical
engineering drawing design covering the use of CADD technology in the
preparation of graphical models, files containing paperwork and files
containing all the information necessary for manufacture and
documentation, parts and components typical of solution to mechanical
engineering problem.
In this information technology, the
participants will be assessed in the field of software applications,
in which they will be given test project cases to do.
This includes multimedia Graphic,
presentation, web design, document processing and database on
Microsoft Access.
While in the electronic application,
participants have a chance to show their ability in all occupational
skills design, assemble, repair, maintain and fault in electronic
equipment and electronic assembles.
The project has an exercise designed
to test the competitors’ ability to translate a functional electronic
circuit into a workable schematic diagram using standard recognizable
