By Azaraimy HH

From L to R: AG DSO Sengkurong Police Station Insp. Hj Mohd Shamsul
Khaireen Hj Abu Bakar, DCS Sengkurong Police Station, Insp. Zainal
Abidin Hj Ibrahim, Wadi bin Hj Mohd Tuah and PRO Fire Department
Norzali bin Apong.
In a bid to improve the capabilities
of police personnel in handling fires, officers of the Sengkurong
police station undertook a training course on fire prevention at the
station yesterday.
The officers learnt the different
ways of putting out a fire depending on the situation and materials.
For instance, water can only be used
to control fires on things like wood and plastic, but not on oil and
other flammable materials.
Officers were also briefed on the
services of the Fire Department where it was explained that the three
emergency agencies - the fire department, police and medical services
- should always work hand in hand in emergencies including fires,
accidents and so on.
The course was conducted by officers
from the Fire Services Department including Deputy Station Officer
(Public Relation Officer), Norzali bin Apong, who was assisted by Wadi
bin Hj Mohd Tuah and Siti Azizah bte Hj Bagut.
The fire-training course was headed
by DCS Sengkurong Police Station, Insp. Zinal Abidin Hj Ibrahim and AG
DSO Sengkurong Police Station Insp. Hj Mohd Shamsul Khaireen Hj Abu
Bakar.
