By Malai Fadley Rizal

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Magistrate's Court remanded a 33-year-old local at Berakas Police Station yesterday, on suspicion of stealing cash and jewellery from a 73-year-old woman in broad daylight recently.

No plea was taken from suspect Husli bin Tasan yesterday although a charge was read against him saying that he had stolen a handbag containing B$300 and six gold rings belonging to the woman.

Magistrate Muhammed Faisal further heard that a medical report on the victim is being sought as she is said to have suffered injuries during the allegedly incident at a retail shop on the early morning of October 1.

Husli bin Tasan will be in court again on October 9 for further mention of the case.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
