Bruneian at arts seminar in Jakarta

DRS Awang bin Ahmad, a local writer, is currently in Jakarta, Indonesia to deliver a working paper at an international seminar and festival.

Drs Awang bin Ahmad will be delivering his paper "Radat Brunei: Mengungkap Masa Silam dan Akan Datang" at the "Seminar Internasional Tradisi Lisan IV dan Festival Pesisir 2003" organised by Asosiasi Tradisi Lisan (ATL) in Jakarta, Indonesia from October 2 - 5.

The seminar and festival, which commenced on October 2, also launched new books in the arts of traditional oral by the head of ATL, Dr Pudentia MP.

More than 200 intellects and fans of the traditional oral arts participated in the international seminar and festival.
