Four Remanded For Theft Of Railings

Bandar Seri Begawan - Four locals suspected of stealing aluminium railings were remanded yesterday by the Magistrate’s Court until October 8, pending police investigations.

Prosecuting officer Pg Nina Jasmine Pg Hj Bahrin applied for 29-year-old army officer Muhd Nurasmi Abdullah and 18-year-old Mohd Noh Edham to be remanded at Tutong Police Station while 21-year-old Masdawadi Mohd Edham and 18-year-old Hilmi Abdullah Bolhasan were remanded at Lamunin Police Station and to be produced before the court again next week.

The Magistrate’s Court granted the application. The four men are facing a charge of stealing six aluminium railings at Penanjong Camp Bridge on the night of September 23.

A second charge read that they had stolen 13 aluminium railings from Penanjong Camp Bridge on September 29 at about 4.10pm. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
