Muslims Have To Believe In Isra Mikraj, Says Lecturer

Bandar Seri Begawan – All Muslims have to believe the Isra and Mikraj of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.

Dr Awang Mohammad Adi Zaki, a lecturer from the Islamic Dakwah Centre, said this at the Isra Mikraj Celebration for the Ministry of Culture, Youth and sports and departments under it yesterday afternoon.

He said the event of Isra and Mikraj or ascension of Prophet Muhammad was solely to test the faith of Muslims, whether they believe it or not.

“For those who do not believe can be categorise apostate,” he added.

He also hoped the lesson from the event can be observed continuously by Muslims so that it will not be considered as a fairy tale story among young generation in the future.

Present at the ceremony was Pehin Dato Dr Haji Awang Hussain, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
