Stars arrive for concert

Singer Melly making a phone call soon after arriving at the airport.
Some 26 people including lead
artistes and singer of background songs of the successful Indonesian
movie "Ada Apa Dengan Cinta" arrived in Brunei Darussalam yesterday
afternoon.
They will be performing in the 3-in-1
concert tomorrow night (Saturday) at the JPCC Amphitheatre, Jerudong.
The lead stars actress Dian
Sastro-wardoyo and actor Nicholas Saputra had to be ushered into a
waiting vehicle as fans rushed to greet them.
While here the artistes will have a
hectic schedule.
This morning (Friday) the stars will
appear on Radio Television Brunei's Rampai Pagi segment.
A meet-the-fans session at a high tea
for ticket holders will be held at 3 pm today (Friday October 3) at
the Indra Pura Lounge, Empire Hotel and Country Club Jerudong.
The 3-in-1 concert comprising songs,
acting and poem recitals will also feature Melly Goeslow, the singer
who sang the background songs of the movie.
At the concert, Melly - famous for
the song Menghitung Hari which she composed for Kris Dayanti - will
sing a total of 15 songs with musicians specially brought from
Indonesia.
Melly
will also be accompanied by Indonesian dancers who were always
featured at her local and foreign shows.
The master of ceremony will also be
an Indonesian, Rido Ekasari who has regularly appeared on Indonesian
television.
The concert is presented by Pepsi,
while Kristal Kru with cooperation from SilverCrest and JPCC
Amphitheatre are responsible for bringing the concert here.
Tickets costing $65, $40, $30 and $20
each can be purchased from all Kristal counters at the Gadong
Properties Centre and Shahryza Plaza Kuala Belait, DSTCom counters at
the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah in the capital, Delima Jaya
Complex in Berakas, Brunei International Airport in Berakas and also
in Jalan Inche Awang in Tutong, Fascom counter at Gadong Properties
Centre, Gadong, Bismi Trading and Hariza Restoran and all authorised
agents.
