IQRA students take part in charity
event

Some fifty nursery, kindergarten and
primary pupils from Islamic Quran Readers Association (IQRA) in
Kampong Manggis recently took part in a consumer products exhibition
held at Setia Kenangan Shopping Mall Kiulap, Gadong.
The event was organised by HMI
Marketing and Promotion and it was aimed at raising fund to help erase
the burden of the Islamic communities in Cambodia as 30 per cent of
the proceeds collected from the charity event will be donated to the
Cambodian Muslims.
The event was supported by Islamic
Da'wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Industry and
Primary Resources and other relevant government agencies.
At the function, various activities
were held including a colouring contest and games for the students.
They were also entertained with a magic show performed by a local
magician, Johnny Chong.
Meanwhile, the same function will be
held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Tutong District from October 9
till 18.
Members of the public are encouraged
to visit the exhibition which starts at 10 am till 10 pm.
Among the products to be sold at the
exhibition are kitchenware, household products, furniture, textile,
tableware, home decoration, health & personal care items, artificial
flower, electronic and electrical goods, gems and jewellery.
