His Majesty Attends Lima Expo 2003

Langkawi
- His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of
Brunei is in Langkawi for the Langkawi International Maritime and
Aerospace Exhibition, Lima 2003.
Dato
Seri Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad the Prime Minister of Malaysia opened
the exhibition early yesterday morning.
It was held at the Mahsuri
International Exhibition Centre (MEIC), in Langkawi.
Yesterday morning's event was a
display of civilian and military aircraft both in the static and the
aerial displays. About 100 aircraft were on display.
After watching the air show, His
Majesty consented to join the Malaysian Prime Minister and other
distinguished guests at a luncheon hosted by the Malaysian Minister of
Defence, Dato Najib Tun Abdul Razak at the exhibition venue.
His Majesty later attended the
official gracing ceremony of Lima 2003 maritime and to view the
maritime display held at the Awana Porto Malai Resort, Langkawi, where
a display of 85 maritime vessels and maritime equipment were held.
Also present at the official gracing
ceremony and viewing was the Malaysian Prime Minister.
Tonight His Majesty graced a welcome
dinner hosted by the Dato Dr. Mahathir.
The dinner was held at the Mahsuri
International Exhibition Centre in Langkawi.
The weeklong exhibition which started
yesterday will be on until Sunday, and is expected to attract around
100,000 visitors.
Lima is held biennially starting in
