Easi Glitch Rectified As System Goes Up Again

Bandar Seri Begawan - Mobile phone users using the Easi service yesterday morning experienced a technical problem for a few hours as they were not able to make or receive calls.

Messages were returned with a note to say that it could not be sent.

When the Bulletin contacted DST Com yesterday, a spokesperson said that the problem was due to a maintenance exercise on Easi system that began as early as 4am on Tuesday.

The work began at a time when mobile phone traffic was low and ended at around noon yesterday.

“At around 9am to 10am, the system went up incrementally and all the lines returned to normal at around 11am and fully operational at 12 noon,” he said.

The glitch only affected Easi users and not Prima subscribers, the spokesperson said and added that they are doing some rectification exercises and DST regretted any inconvenience caused.
