Habitex exhibition

The Housing Development Department will organise a Habitex exhibition, which will coincide with the Housing Customers Day in conjunction with the World Habitat Day 2003.

The exhibition will be held on Monday, October 6 until 12, at the foyer of the Housing Development Department at the Old Airport in Berakas. The theme for this year's World Habitat Day is "Water and Sanitation for Cities". The exhibition will portray activities relating to housing industries, construction and technology such as building construction, engineering, interior design, interior consultation, latest products on construction materials, information technology and safety equipment in building.

The exhibition also aims to organise networking for joint ventures to widen business and entrepreneurship scopes.

A counter will be set-up on the day of launching to provide the public with the opportunity to inquire about housing schemes carried-out by the Housing Development Department. In addition, it allows housing owners and occupants of rented public building, including terrace housing, transit flats, shops and business outlets, to make their payments to the department.

The Customer Day is also meant for participants to pay their outstanding dues. Visitors who make payments will also be entitled to win attractive prizes by enrolling in the lucky draw. The exhibition is open to the public for one-week starting on October 6, including those waiting to build new houses or plan to look at building materials.
