Royal greetings to China

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to send a congratulatory message to President Hu Jintao on the occasion of the 54th Anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding that had so long been established between Brunei Darussalam and the People's Republic of China. His Majesty hopes that this would be maintained and enhanced in the future for the good of the two countries and their people.

His Majesty also hopes that President Hu would always remain in good health and happiness and for the people of the People's Republic of China to always enjoy continued progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, consented to send his warmest congratulations to Li Zhaoxing, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the People's Republic of China, and to the government and its people. His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome the Chinese Government had extended to Brunei's Ambassador-at-Large during Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna's visit to China in August. He looks forward to working closely with Mr Li, to continue strengthening relations both bilaterally and as partners in the Asia-Pacific region.
