Pehin Datu Lailaraja Colonel Hj Awang Halbi Hj Md Yusof being
conferred the Pingat Jasa Gemilang (Tentera) Meritorious Service
Medal by Singapore Minister for Education and Acting Minister
for Defence, Rear-Admiral (NS) Teo Chee Hean.
SINGAPORE (AFP) - Singapore on
Friday handed the military meritorious service medal to the
commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces, the defence ministry
said here.
Pehin Datu Lailaraja Colonel Hj
Awg Halbi Hj Md Yusof was cited for his "outstanding
contributions" to the strengthening of ties between the
armies two Southeast Asian neighbours, a defence ministry
statement said.
The Brunei military officer
visited a live-firing exercise on Thursday involving personnel
from both countries' armies as part of an annual military
exercise.
