Vehicles auctions by Customs &
Excise

Members of the public who wish to buy
used vehicles will have an opportunity to own one, as several models
of used vehicles will be on auction sale.
The Royal Customs and Excise
Department will be holding a three-day auction sale starting from
Saturday, October 28 at Royal Customs and Excise Department in Kuala
Belait. The sale is from 9.30am.
Meanwhile, for those in the Brunei-Muara
district - the auction sale will be on Monday October 30 at the Royal
Customs and Excise Department headquarters in Jalan Menteri Besar.
And on Tuesday October 31, the
auction will be held at the Preventive Section premises of the Royal
Customs and Excise Department in Muara Port. The auction will start at
9.00am.
A total of 76 units of used vehicles
will be on sale. From the number, 43 units will be auctioned at the
headquarters Jalan Menteri Besar, 27 units at Muara and six units at
Kuala Belait.
Apart from vehicles there are also a
car parts such as brake shoe, filter, brake and clutch parts and many
more.
These vehicles will be sold to those
with higher bids. All the vehicles were confiscated from the owners
for using them to bring in smuggled and illegal goods or contraband
items into the country.
In last year's auction, public
response was very encouraging, where almost all units were sold out.
Successful bidders should pay in cash
to the Customs officials on duty at the auction site. The auctioned
items should be removed from the premises within seven days.
