education were presented.
They included Digital

Prevention on Corruption, Proactive Investigation and
Effective Prosecution and Upgrading Professionalism for
ACB Investigating Officers as Obligatory.
Malaysia's ACA has also
carried out planning in various courses particularly
those related to proactive investigation through
forensics. It has offered participation for officers
from Brunei's ACB. |
In September, Malaysia had ratified
the United Nalion Conventions Against Corruption (UNCAC) and Brunei
Darussalam will soon pursue this initiative.
To expand the ACA's field power,
the regulations for the Malaysia Corruption Prevention Commission
2008 (SPRM) will replace the 1997 Anti-Corruption Act as part of
Malaysia's efforts to form a corruption prevention commission that
is more adept.
The two-day closed door meeting
between Brunei's ACB and Malaysia's ACA started on Nov 17 at The
Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong.
This was the fifth time this
meeting was held since 2002.
