On hand to
officiate the exhibition was the Principal of MTSSR Hjh Siti
Aisah bte Hj Md Ali.
According to Hj Alihan Hj
Zainin, chairman of the event, the exhibition has been held
annually for the past I I years since the course was
introduced in MTSSR.
"Usually at the end of Year
Two, all students doing their National Diploma in Interior
Design will showcase their coursework in a public exhibition
for final assessment both by the college staff and external
assessor. This work will form a portfolio at a professional
standard to meet the requirement of industrial entry to
higher academic institutions," he said.

"The event also provides a
platform for us to market the students' work and hence
job opportunities, as we invite industry-related
organizations to the program to attend the exhibition.
"They may like what
they see and can speak to our students directly. |
"Through the exhibition, we are
also marketing this program, as we extended our invitation to
secondary school students so they can be exposed on what the course
is all about and might generate their interest in this field," he
added.
Twelve MTSSR students showcased
their work in this year's exhibition.
One of the in-service students,
Muhammad Hamdanajib bin Hj Domeng, who is working for the Municipal
Board under the Prime Minister's Office, showcased his project on
'Architect Consultant Building' during the exhibition.
He told the Bulletin that this was
his final/major project and it took him three months to complete the
project from research, report to presentation.
Aside from displaying his model,
Muhammad Hamdanajib also has a sketch model and presentation on
display.
The National Diploma in Interior
Design is a two and a half year course comprising four semesters’
full-time, institution-based training, plus six months of industrial
