Tutong - A concrete foundation laying ceremony for B$300,000 Kiudang's Chong Hwa School's multi-purpose hall was held in Tutong yesterday.

Present at the ceremony were members of the school's board of directors as well as invited guests, including Pehin Dato Paduka Goh King Chin, Pehin Dato Paduka Onn Siew Siong, Dr Chan Su Kiat and Gob King Tiam.

The concrete stone-laying ceremony was led by Pehin Dato Paduka Gob King Chin, followed by Pehin Dato Paduka Onn Stew Siong and guests.

The construction of the multi-purpose hall is to enable students at the school to have proper sport complex to carry out sporting and other extra-curricular activities.

Chubng, said the construction of the multi-purpose hall is expected to be completed in June next year.

The multi-purpose hall will also be opened for use by community in Kg Lamunin for functions such as wedding ceremonies, with minimal charges for water and electricity.
