Begawan - Over 100 golfers took part in the Baiduri Visa
Platinum Invitation Golf Event at the Empire Hotel and Country Club,
Jerudong yesterday.
Organised
by Baiduri Bank Sdn Bhd, the event was by invitation only and opened
to the bank's Visa Platinum cardholders and a few special invited
guests.
Pierre Imhof, the General Manager
of Baiduri Bank who gave away the prizes to the winners said: "In
line with the Visa Platinum lifestyle, this golf event has been
designed to give our guests an exclusive, unique and memorable
golfing experience, which is, to provide our guest networking
opportunities while playing a round of golf amongst individuals of
Platinum status at this exquisite Jack Nicklaus-designed course and
at the same time, getting a chance to win attractive prizes".
There were four hole-in-one prizes
to be won. The top prize was a Baiduri Bank Visa Platinum Card with
$100,000 credit. Other hole-in-one prizes were a Porsche Cayman
luxury sport car, a Jules Audemans self-winding watch and two
business class return air tickets to London and the corresponding
holes were 7, 14, 4 and 16 respectively.
Novelty prizes were also awarded.
Yong Teck Foo won the longest drive, Chris Lee Tian Yau (nearest to
line) and the ladies winner was Tan Jee Wan with 31 points.
In the men's B Division (20 above),
Ridzlan Ibrahim with 36 points on countback (ocb) was first followed
by Dato Hamid Jaafar, Pehin Dato Hj Jaafar, Michael Guan and Aziz
Latif.
Capt Hj Suhaimi with 38 points was
the winner in the men's A Division (0-19) followed by Sheikh
Jamaluddin, Hj Suhaimee, John Too Heng Yen and Young Ying Chong. -- Courtesy of Borneo
