Seruji Wins BMW Xpo Trophy

Bandar Seri Begawan - Seruji Haji Setia proved that he is still the man to beat on the greens after grabbing another champion's trophy at the BMW Xpo Golf Tournament 2007 which took place at the RBA Golf Club yesterday.

The only golfer set to represent Brunei Darussalam in the upcoming SEA Games; Seruji shot a 67 gross to take home the overall gross winner's trophy.

In the Division A (+1-12) Category, Haji Yussop Daud scored 45 points to grab the winner's trophy followed by Dr Ding Pei Kong with 41 (OCB) in secondandHajiYakib bin Haji Jumat with 41 points in third place.

With 45 points OCB, Anizam Hj Mamit took first place in the Division B (13-24) Category. Haji Zaini Mohammad took second spot with 45 points and CC Tang was in third place with 44 (OCB).

Noor Azura showed her might in golfing by taking home first place in the Division C (Ladies), with 46 points. Agnes Hiu took second place with 34 points (OCB) and Hajah Aziah Ahmad shot 34 points to take third place.

The Longest Drive for Hole 18 for the men went to Wan Man Hj Wan Hil, while for the ladies, it went o Noor Azura. Nearest to the Pin for Hole 5 went to Suhaimi Ibrahim.

Some 170 golfers took part in the one-day tournament, which was organised as part of BMW Xpo activities.
