Kuala Belait - Chicken King - a Western halal-themed Malaysian international fast-food franchise restaurant - will open its first branch in Kuala Belait sometime in February next year.

The deal was struck at a signing ceremony between the Managing Director of Chicken Malaysia Mr KN Chua and Mrs Ho Kin Juan, the Master Franchisee as part of the international fast-food franchise `global expansion policy'.

The official signing ceremony in the presence of the Belait District Officer Awang Haji Mohammad bin Haji Abdul-Rahman, provided exclusive ownership rights of Chicken King fast food chain in Brunei Darussalam.

The ceremony held at the District Office also saw the signing between Mrs Ho and Dk Sulfiah binte Pg Abd Razak, as the Managing Franchisee who will be responsible towards the operation of all Chicken King Outlets in the country.

The Master Franchisee in Brunei, Mrs Ho, said the setting up of the fast-food chain in Brunei is hoped to provide more employment opportunities for locals in the district and also serves to attract tourists.
