'62' Lucky Number For Yaris Winner

Bandar Seri Begawan - There was a sea of faces at the Toyota Hari Raya Draw 2007 and Mr Gobind Jamnu Punjabi, the owner of Syarikat Veena's Brunei Darussalam, was all smiles when his name was drawn for the Grand Prize: a brand new Toyota Yaris.

According to a press release from NBT (Brunei) Sdn Bhd, "His winning coupon (from among 600 odd eligible buyers) was drawn by Mr Low Eng Leng, NBT General Manager, Finance & Administration, during the draw held at the NBT Toyota Showroom Jalan Tutong.

"Also present at the draw were Hj Shahrum Hj Kadir, NBT General Sales Manager, Mr Anthony Bong, NBT Marketing Manager, Mr Leong Cheng Soon, NBT Toyota Gadong Showroom Manager, Dyg Sharifah Marianah, NBT Toyota Jalan Tutong Showroom and Draw Auditor, Mr Michael Guan from Price WaterhouseCoopers".

Fifteen other winners also won various attractive prices comprising mainly electrical goods. They are: Sony Home Theater FX900 for Awg Mohd Ellfy Syamimy bin Mohd Rozainey; Toshiba LCD TV 26" for Awg Abdul Latiff bin Hj Mohd Daud; Sony Camera H9 for Hjh Aisah Hj Jaafar; two-door Toshiba Fridge GR-M55 for Hjh Sa'udah bte Hj Md Nor; Sony Camera H7 for Awg Andy bin Awg Norsidi; Toshiba LCD TV 20" for Awg Narazman bin Hj Osman; Sony Digital Handycam HC28 for Awg Fong Boon Ching; Toshiba Washer AW: 1160 for Dyg Lucy Chee Nyuk Len; Sony Home Theatre PZ150 for Awg Saini bin Gapor; Raleigh 26" Mountain Bike (Front Suspension) for Hjh Suhana bte Hj Mohd Said; Panasonic Microwave GS585 for Hajijah bte Hj Abd Hamid; one-door Toshiba Fridge with dispenser GR-E269 for Hj Sabtu bin Hj Salleh; Fuji 26" Mountain Bike (Full Suspension) for Ak Baharuddin bin Pg Hj Ali; Sony CTV 21" Flatscreen for Hjh Nor Rahmat bin Sidin; and Toshiba Washer AW-7461 for Dyg Ajijah binti Bujang.

The NBT press release quoted Mr Gobind as saying: "I was quietly confident of winning after I purchased my Toyota Camry in early October 2007, because my winning coupon is '0462', my IC number has '62' in it, and my mobile phone number also ends in '62'. Naturally, I also feel very lucky this morning to have won from among so many Toyota purchasers who packed this morning's draw at the NBT, Jalan Tutong Showroom".

Mr Gobind also said that his mother will be using the Toyota Yaris.

Asked about the Toyota Hari Raya Draw, Mr Anthony Bong explained that it was held to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2007, as well as to thank and reward all Toyota buyers during the promotional period. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
