Hainan Delegation In Brunei For Friendly Visit

Bandar Seri Begawan - A group of nine delegates from the Hainan province of the People's Republic of China, led by Mr Chen Cheng, were in the country for a three-day visit.

The Hainan delegation was hosted by the Brunei-Muara Hainan Association. The visit was aimed at boosting ties with the Hainan community in the country and exchange ideas and views with their counterparts.

It also aimed to promote goodwill and cultural ties among the Hainan community of the two countries.

The Hainan delegation was welcomed by the Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, Ms Yang Yangyi, at the Brunei International Airport yesterday. Also present were officers from the embassy as well as Executive Committee members of Brunei-Muara Hainan Association.

While in the country, the delegation will visit several places of interest as well as the Hainan Association Building in Gadong.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
