Jail For 'Overstaying Man'

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 33-year-old Indonesian was jailed for three months and given three strokes of caning for overstaying. Yusni Efendi overstayed after the expiry of his social visit pass since December 3, 2005.

He was arrested in a joint operation conducted by a team of Immigration Enforcement personnel, Labour inspector and Enforcement Officers from the Municipal Department against foreign vendors at Tamu Peranginan Kianggeh on November 28 this year. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
