Kiulap school marks Students Day

Sekolah Rendah Hj Mohd Jaafar Muan in Kiulap held its Students Day yesterday and the guest of honour at the function was the Ketua Kampong of Kiulap, Awg Hj Mohammad Abu Bakar.

The function began with a reading of al-Fatihah led by Cikgu Hashnalhakim Abdul Halim.

There were also singing, dancing and acting performances by students as well as a story-telling by Siti Khadijah binti Hj Awg Salim and a singing performance by Primary Six students.

The guest of honour later presented prizes to lower primary students who excelled in their studies while prizes for outstanding upper primary students were presented by the school headmaster.

The highlight of the day was the presentation of prizes to Siti Badariah binti Abu Bakar who scored 5'A's in the PCE 2006. She received a golden sash, a golden plaque, $100 cash and a trophy.

More than 250 parents attended the function which ended with a doa selamat.
