Mukim Seria Consultative Council Appoints New Committee Member

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Mukim Seria Consultative Council yesterday held a general meeting at the residence of the penghulu of Mukim Seria, to appoint new committee members of the mukim, for the period between 2006 and 2011.

The meeting began with welcoming remarks from the penghulu of Mukim Seria, Awg Hj Jamail bin Hj Linap, who is also the chairman of Mukim Seria Consultative Council. The new appointments were aimed at assisting while improving the efficiency of the penghulu and kampong ketuas in the conduct of their duties.

The Mukim Seria Consultative Council constantly undertakes activities intended to bring residents of the mukim together, and to instil the communal spirit within them, whilst at the same time ensuring the rapid development and progression of the mukim particularly in socio-economy.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
