Foreign Woman Jailed For Prostitution

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 29-year-old Indonesian woman was jailed for a month after admitting to soliciting a man for prostitution.

Ari Marhwdrayati was caught naked with a man in a hotel room in the capital when the Anti-Vice Unit of the CID conducted the raid on November 27. Ari locked herself in the bathroom but the personnel kicked the door open and arrested her.

She admitted during investigation that she has had two male clients since her arrival in the country as a social visitor on October 25 and that she had charged a man $100 for her sexual services. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
