Disruption Of Water Supply In Brunei-Muara And Tutong

Bandar Seri Begawan - Several areas in the Brunei-Muara and Tutong districts will experience a disruption in water supply today from 9pm onwards.

The disruption is due to repair works to exchange a valve at the Sungai Burong Pump No 3, Layong Water Treatment Plant.

The Water Services Department said areas experiencing low water pressure or water supply disruption are: In the Brunei-Muara districts - Kg Katimahar, Kg Panchor Murai, Kg Tanjong Nangka, Jalan Jerudong, Kg. Sengkurong, Kg Selayun, Kg Tg Bunut, Kg Dadap, Kg Anggerek Desa, Kg Pulaie, Kg Orang Kaya Besar Imas, Kg SgAkar, Kg Delima I & II, Kg Sg Hanching, along Jalan Gadong, Jalan Muara, Kg Lumapas area, Kg Sg Kebun, Kg Kasat, Kg Putat, Kg Menunggol and Kampong Ayer.

In the Tutong district - Jalan Lamunin, Kg Batang Mitus, Kg Birau, Bukit Durian, Kg Sinaut, Kg Bukit Penggal, Kg Keriam and Kg Kupang. Areas surrounding the affected places may alsoo experience a disruption in water supply.

The department reminded those at the affected areas to store water before maintenance works start and not to waste water. Those in need of the Water Tanker Supply Service can contact the department's Customer Care Centre hotline at 140, or call 2223015, 2222428, 222429 or 4221212.
