Man Charged With Raping His Daughter

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 39-year-old man was charged in the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday with raping his 15 year-old daughter.

No plea was taken. The defendant will be remanded for two weeks at a police station for further investigation to be conducted.

He was charged with committing the offence on November 25, 2006 at a house in Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kanan.

At the time of the alleged offence, his daughter was 15 years and 10 months old. If found guilty to the charge, the defendant could be sentenced to imprisonment which may e tend to 30 years and whipping. The case is to be heard again on December 11 at 2 pm.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
