PESAKA Welcomes Ship Participants

Begawan - Kampong Keriam Malay Association, Tutong (PESAKA)
welcomed 35 youths from Asean countries and Japan under the Ship for
Southeast Asian Youth Programme (SSEAYP), who arrived in the
Sultanate on Sunday, in a welcoming ceremony at the PESAKA Wawasan
Hall.
The youths are currently under the
foster family programme during their three days and two nights stay
in the Sultanate. The event began with a briefing by PESAKA Deputy
President II Awg Roslin bin Suhaili on the history of its
establishment, activities, economy and structure.
The function also saw the youths
from each country presenting various performances, as well as
mingling with members of the association and village residents.
Also at the event they had the
opportunity to bond with their foster families. Yesterday, the
youths visited the Tutong District Office, where they were briefed
and taken on a tour of Tutong District. -- Courtesy of Borneo
