5 Foreign Workers Issued Special Passes In Immigration Checks

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Department of Immigration will continue to patrol and carry out checking operations on foreign workers in the country and members of the public are urged to give their cooperation by informing the authority on any information regarding Immigration offenders by calling 3331879, 3341938 or 2383555 during office hours.

Seven personnel from the BSB Law Enforcement Section, Department of Immigration and National Registration made a routine check in three areas yesterday where Immigration suspects were believed to be located.

The locations raided were a house under construction, a stall selling decorative materials from China and a car workshop in Kg Bengkurong.

As a result of the check, four foreign workers from China were issued special passes for further investigation. Another foreign worker at a car workshop was found to have different work guarantors and was also given a special pass for further investigation.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
