Kg Batong Celebrates Raya

Bandar Seri Begawan - Kg Batong recently held a Hari Raya gathering for its residents, as well as a donation presentation for orphans and senior residents.

The celebration was held at Kg Batong Head Village Hj Sharbini bin Hj Moksin's residence. The annual event was organised by the Village Consultative Council of Kg Batong committee members. On hand to present the donations and to also present certificates to Kg Batong committee members was the guest of honour Dato Paduka Awg Hj Ishaaq bin Hj Abdullah (pic above), Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and who is also the Advisor of the Village Consultative Council of Kg Batong.

The event also saw a "Tausyeh" performance organised by the female bureau of the village, followed by performances from the village youths.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
