400 Cans And Bottles Of Beer Seized Near Limbang Border

Bandar Seri Begawan - An attempt to transport a large amount of liquor and beer, believed to be smuggled, was foiled yesterday by police stationed at the Bebuloh police post located close to the Brunei-Limbang border.

More than 400 bottles and cans of liquor and beer were found hidden inside the boot of a car after the suspicious activity was detected at around 12.30 noon.

A total of 360 cans of Tiger Beer, 48 bottles of Boss, 36 bottles of Mekhong beer and 42 Rajang were seized as three policemen detained a 46-year-old Bruneian in connection with the case following public tip-off.

The items were brought to the Royal Brunei Customs and Excise Department for further investigation.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
