Seminar
By Kartika Rahman
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Standard Chartered Bank held a "Loyalty High Tea
and Financial Planning Seminar" for its customers last Saturday at
the Business Centre, Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong.
On hand to facilitate the seminar
were the bank's regional head of consumer banking for Southeast Asia
Wilson Chia, and Deutsche Bank AG managing director in retail and
private banking sales and equity structuring Vinod Aachi.
Chia,
who presented a talk on financial planning, said, "If you are
without health, no amount of wealth is worth it. Wealth management
goes beyond finances." He also touched on the "Plan, Build and
Protect" method employed by Standard Chartered Bank in which
personnel chart the best plan to meet the customers' future needs,
build through developing a customised solution for individuals by
marrying individual and unique needs with the most suitable
financial products for diversified growth, and ensure what has been
built over the years is protected through proactive management.
Meanwhile, Aachi delivered a
presentation on the benefits of the Commodity Guaranteed Fund, which
is available exclusively to Standard Chartered Bank customers.
He said the fund has a relatively
short investment period - two years and 11 months - with guaranteed
payout of five per cent after six months, adding that the potential
upside linked to an equally weighted basket of GS Corn Index, GS
Sugar Index, copper and zinc.
The two speakers also shared their
personal takes on wealth management with the audience, highlighting
various investment opportunities, tips and insights. -- Courtesy of Borneo
