Winning RBA Chef Cooks Up A Storm

Bandar Seri Begawan - Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) Assisting Chef Dk Yani Mariana bte PgYahya, winner of 6th Asean Skills Competition 2006, wowed her learning audience by cooking up a storm yesterday at Amigos Cafe, Royal Brunei Recreation Club.

The cooking class was organised by Royal Brunei Catering Sdn Bhd (RBC). With Dk Yani leading the class, RBC Assistant Manager Sales & Marketing, Mohd Al-Fatah Haji Serqji, assisted her while they showed how to make Kek Batik, White Chocolate Pie, Poached Stuff Pear with Strawberry Sauce and Roll Tapak Kuda.

The 21 -year-old aspiring chef will be the next big name in culinary arts. Having joined RBA through the Professional Cookery and Services training in 2003, she has shown-vast potential. Upon her graduation, she was assigned to the Pastry Kitchen in the Airport Restaurant where her chefs gave her the support and guidance in her preparations for the 6th Asean Skills Competition held in
