Seminar Highlights Importance Of Growth Of ICT In Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan - SAP Malaysia, together with Brunei's leading IT-Telecom systems integrators and e-business enabler, KPF Comserve Sdn Bhd held its first SAP-IT seminar In Brunei Darussalam yesterday.

The seminar cum workshop, supported by the Authority of Info-Communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AiTi) and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), provides training in key SAP applications for public sector, enterprise resource planning and supply chain management as, well as in basic programming languages.

The seminar highlights SAP's long-term commitment to Brunei to grow the local ICT industry as well as to share practices from other countries and benefits gained from the use of SAP applications. A committed partner of the government of Brunei, SAP will ensure the e-government plan is a success and will help it become a showcase in the e-government arena globally. Present as the guest of honour was Deputy Minister of Ministry of Communications, Dato Paduka Haji Yusoff bin Haji Abd Hamid.

"With the e-government nationwide plan out in place and now into its second term (2006-2010), the SAP IT:,Seminar is timely to meet the government's call to help grow the local ICT industry," said Kenny Wong, Business and Operations Director, KPF Comserve Sdn Bhd.
