SMSA Students Visit OGDC

Kuala Belait - Thirty-two students and teachers from Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Ali (SMSA), Kuala Belait made a study visit to the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC) in Seria recently.

The students are members of the school's Science Club. The group was given a briefing about the centre followed by a short astronomy film and a tour of the exhibitions displayed in OGDC. Various interesting science demonstrations were shown to the students such as fluorescent lamps lighting up without cables. Finally, they were exposed to a technology challenge where they constructed oilrig models out-of newspapers, cello tapes and scissors.
