1st SAP IT Seminar Planned In
Brunei As Talent And Career Management

Begawan - On behalf of SAP Malaysia Sdn Bhd, KPF Comserve Sdn
Bhd will organise the very first SAP IT Seminar for Brunei, initiating
the SAP Solution Academy Programme and also sharing the focus on
e-Solutions with the government. KPF said that the event is going to
be a platform for participants to gain exposure, solutions and more
importantly gain knowledge to better compete in the global economy.
The seminar, which is going to be
held on November 18 at Songket One, Level Four, The Rizqun
International Hotel, will be supported by the Authority for
Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AiTi)
and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
SAP is the world's leading provider
of business software. Today, more than 34,600 customers in more than
120 countries run SAP applications. KPF Comserve meanwhile is one of
the leading IT Telecom systems integrators and ebusiness enablers in
the Sultanate.
At the seminar, five speakers are
going to share thoughts and experiences - Mr Steve Furst, Director of
Business Development, Public Services Industry, APA SAP Asia Pte Ltd;
Man Mohan Kapur, Senior Manager, Education Services Southeast Asia,
SAP Asia Pte Ltd; Cindy Tan, Solution Architect for Public Sector, SAP
Malaysia Sdn Bhd; Colonel (NS) Patrick Koh Lai Hock, Director of
Business Development, Defence and Security, SAP Asia Pte Ltd; and Dr
Mehdi Khaled, Senior Business Development Manager, Public Services -
Healthcare.
The guest of honour will be Deputy
Minister of Communications, Dato Paduka Hj Yusoff Hj Abd Hamid. Among
others expected to attend the event are Mr Kenny Wong, Business and
Operations Director, KPF Comserve Sdn Bhd, as well as Mr Francis Lee,
Head of Territory Sales Organisation, Malaysia, Brunei and Pakistan,
SAP Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
By initiating the SAP Solution
Academy Programme, it is hoped that there will be efficient education
programmes to enhance an individual's opportunities, not only for high
performance, but also in terms of committing to self development. The
organisation will also strive for excellence in areas of individual
development, performance, as well.
This should empower the country's
future professionals enhancing their opportunities to compete in the
global marketplace with the necessary tools at their fingertips. In
other words, the seminar is just one way to contribute to Brunei's
