Immigration Check In Berakas

Bandar Seri Begawan - Personnel from the Law Enforcement Section of the Immigration and National Registration Department carried out a routine check at three locations in Berakas yesterday.

Eight foreign workers believed to have misused their immigration passes were checked. During the operation, one worker was apprehended after failing to produce any relevant Immigration document while the others were issued special letters to report to the Enforcement Section for further investigation.

The locations inspected included a car wash shop, a furniture shop and a commercial area in Mukim Berakas. Seven Immigration personnel were involved in the operation. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
