Road Accidents At Lumut Bypass, Mumong Roundabout

Bandar Seri Begawan - A saloon car was caught under a truck loaded with timber logs in a road accident which occurred yesterday morning at the Lumut bypass.

No casualties were reported in the mishap but the driver and three passengers inside the saloon car suffered minor facial abrasions due to shattered glass pieces. They were rushed to the hospital for treatments.

The accident was reported to the Sungai Liang Fire Station at 9.44am and 12 fire and rescue personnel rushed to the scene to carry out rescue works.

Both vehicles were heading towards Bandar Seri Begawan when the accident occurred.

Meanwhile, another accident involving two saloon cars occurred at the Mumong roundabout due to slippery road conditions on Monday night.

No injuries were reported in the front-rear collision but both vehicles sustained minor damages. Motorists are reminded to be careful on the road especially on rainy days.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
