AAC Holds CoRT Thinking Workshop

Begawan - AAC held its CoRT Thinking Workshop recently at the
college's library. The departments involved in the two-hour workshop
were Science, Geography, English, History and Business Studies.
The facilitators of the workshop were
Ms Gan, Ms Caroline and Ms Chong. After the opening speech by the
college's DP, Ck Asmah, the facilitators introduced the thinking tools
and activities for the groups.
According to the facilitators, the
response from the teachers was good and there was active participation
from everyone.
CoRT,
which stands for Cognitive Research Trust, was established by Dr De B
ono in Cambridge, England. CoRT is one of the most widely used courses
in the work for direct teaching of thinking. Over seven million
students in over 30 countries worldwide are using it.
The seven tools are PMI, CAF, C&S,
AGO, OPV, APC and FIR These are useful in the field of teaching and
learning. Another session is scheduled to be held in mid-November.
