Abandoned Building Needs Attention

Bandar Seri Begawan - A three-storey building located at Kg Sungai Akar, Jln Kebangsaan, which has been left empty for a long time, is now nearly covered by overgrown vegetation.

The building is owned by the government as the sign "Dilarang Memasuki Dikawasan lni, Arahan Kerajaan" erected at the front gate indicates.

According to the people who live in the area, the old building had been renovated in 1998. But since the last occupants moved out of the building, it has been left vacant and now hidden by overgrown vegetation. The sign at the building is also covered by grass.

Residents in the area fear that the abandoned building will turn into a hiding place for criminals or drug addicts. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
