Change Mindset To Achieve Development: BINA

Bandar Seri Begawan - The co-operative movement must strive to take advantage of technological advancement or will be left behind in the current business trend.

To achieve sustainable goals in co-operative undertakings, a positive change in mindset is a key factor that will determine the future direction of their co-operatives.

This was said by Acting Director of BINA, Pg Sharifuddin Pg Hj Metali as the chief guest at a thanksgiving ceremony commemorating the Silver Jubilee of Koperasi Kg Sungai Buloh Berhad on Sunday.

"An attitude shift is indispensable and we should not let any shortcomings to undermine the tremendous efforts put in all these years," he said referring to the significant achievements reached by the co-operative despite fierce competition from mushrooming supermarkets within the village and its surroundings.

The chief guest congratulated Koperasi Sungai Buloh for their landmark achievement and urged them to strengthen the social and economic well beings of their members. If they intend to invest in other sectors, they should venture into low-risk business dealings that are in the interest of all members, he added. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
