MINDEF Personnel Visit NCB

Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 19 officers and staff of the Narcotics Control Committee, Ministry of Defence yesterday visited the Narcotics Control Bureau. The group was led by Pg Hassanan, ' Acting Director of Administration and Human Resource cum Chairman of the Narcotics Control Committee, Ministry of Defence (Civilian).

During the visit, Mindef personnel were briefed on the Bureau's objectives and the current misuse of drugs situation in Brunei. They also viewed exhibits of drugs and utensils used to consume and inhale drugs provided by the Education and Preventive Branch of the Bureau.

The visit aimed to expose Mindef personnel on the misuse of drugs in Brunei especially at the workplace. The Bureau continuously carries out campaigns to provide awareness and understanding on the dangers of the misuse of drugs for government officers and staff.

The Bureau also receives visits from all sections of the community including schools, educational institutions and private sector.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
