Royal Customs And Excise Department Holds Raya Function

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Royal Customs and Excise Department yesterday held a Hari Raya gathering at the International Convention - Centre (ICC) Banquet Hall in Berakas.

The afternoon function is an annually celebrated event that aims to strengthen relations among personnel and their families.

In his speech, Royal Customs and Excise Delartciient Controller Pg Abd Haris Pg Hj Shabudin called on personnel to wisely implement the plans that have been laid out to achieve the vision and mission of the department.

Its vision is to safeguard the peace, tranquility and wellbeing of the nation, while its mission is to manage and increase the business facilitator revenues, safeguard the well-being of the nation and community.

The celebration jointly coordinated by Brunei-International Airport and MPC Berakas - opened with a Hari Raya performance by members of the organising committee.

Later, personnel attempted to outdo each other in a singing competition.

The day also saw a performance by a specially invited singer, and a lucky draw that awarded winners with prizes that ranged from-air tickets to electrical appliances.

The guest of honour presented prizes to the winners of the competition and also to winners of the department's Best Decorated Counters. Additionally, souvenirs were presented to the panel of judges.
