Syariah Court Gathering At Asma Hotel

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Syariah Court Brunei Darussalam held a Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering recently at the Asma Hotel's Al-Barakah Ballroom in Jerudong. Present as the guest of honour was Pehin Dam Imam Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Abd Hamid Bakal. Also in attendance were some 200 senior officers and personnel of the Syariah Court.

The event began with a welcoming speech from Ustaz Hj Mohd Serudin Hj Timbang as chairman of the ceremony.

The guest of honour then handed over a B$1,000 donation to Assistant Director of Yayasan Sultan Hj Hassanal Bolkiah, Hj Puasa Hj Jumat, for the Duli Pg Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Orphans Fund.

The function continued with a certificate presentation for 13 staff members as recognition of their commitment and a poem declamation delivered by Judge Ustaz Johar Hj Muhaminad. The gathering was held in conjunction with this year's Hari Raya festivity.
