Ministry Of Communications Holds Raya Get-Together

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Communications recently held a Hari Raya get-together that involved all five of its departments - namely the Marine, Civil Aviation, Port, Postal and Land Transport Departments.

The event's guest of honour was Pehin Dato Seri Setia Hj Abu Bakar Hj Apong, Minister of Communications. Also present were the ministry's senior officers, directors, heads of departments and other staff members.

After he was welcomed upon arrival, the guest of honour took a group picture with senior officers. Each of the ministry's departments had a booth featuring various cultural aspects and time honoured Hari Raya traditions.

The guest of honour took time to speak to those at the booths, which were set up around the Ministry of Communications building's lobby.

The function also saw some performances by the ministry's staff members, a lucky draw and the prize presentation for a Sepak Takraw championship that was held this year. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
