RIPAS Mosque Plans Korban Event

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Raja Isteri Pg Anak Hjh Saleha (RIPAS) mosque in Rimba is planning to hold a Korban ceremony on the second day of the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration on December 31.

The chief Imam of the mosque, Hj Mohd Afdzillah bin Hj Mohd Yussof, said participation forms for the religious rite can be obtained from the mosque. Interested Muslims must return the forms with payment to the organiser by December 23.

He said livestocks such as cows, goats and buffaloes will be slaughtered and distributed among relatives and friends of the Korban participants.

Those who want to take part in the religious event are required to pay B$250 each. The Korban ceremony will be held at the compound of the RIPAS mosque. The takmir committee of the mosque held a meeting on the event on November 10.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
