NDMC, Health Officials Attend Earthquake Disaster Relief Course In China

Bandar Seri Begawan - Two Officers from the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) and the Ministry of Health will be attending a training Course on Earthquake Disaster Emergency Relief for Developing Countries in China starting today (November 13) until November 27.

The officer representing NDMC is Senior Supt Pengiran Sabli Bin Pengiran Damit while Senior Officer Pengiran Hj Hashim Bin Pengiran Hj Besar is from the Ministry of Health.

The training course on earthquake disaster emergency relief for developing countries is organised by the Ministry of Commerce of The People's Republic of China with the aim of strengthening cooperation between China and Asian countries.

The training workshop includes visits to earthquake related sites, simulation exercises and case study in order to make participants familiar with earthquake disaster preparation especially in the field of mitigation, preparedness, response and rehabilitation. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
