Practical Course For Haj Pilgrims

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Haj Affairs of the Ministry of - Religious Affairs yesterday conducted a practical course for pilgrims performing the Haj 1427H/2006M at the Indoor Stadium in Berakas.

Amass recital of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Ustaz Hj Azirnan H,j Zarnan followed by a speech by Acting Director of Haj Affairs, Pg Hj Mustapa Pg Hj Aliuddin, the event chairman.

Pg Hj Haslin Pg Hj At opened yesterday's session with a brief presentation on how to put on the "lhram." Pilgrims were invited to practise the seven rounds of "Tawaf" around the Ka' abah.

Participants were presented with the practical of doing the "Sa'ie" and several other practicals on performing the Haj.

The courses are conducted annually during the Haj season. More than 1,000 Haj pilgrims attended the course. There will be six Haj flights this year.

The first flight leaves on Dec 7 while the last flight will depart Brunei on Dec 15, 2006. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
