Wasan School's Double

Bandar Seri Begawan - The newly-opened Wasan Vocational School held a double celebration, celebrating both Hari Raya and Teacher's Day for the first time, at its new auditorium on Saturday.

Attending the event as guest of honour was Cikgu Haji Zamri -Bin-Haji Sabli, the Principal of Wasan Vocational School.

About 38 students staged a short drama with the help of their teachers after the Hari Raya school break. A group singing competition was later held. `Crop Production' was announced as the winner in the competition.

Wasan Vocational School, situated at Jalan Wasan, Kampong Limau Manis, began their operation last July with only two BDTVEC NTC3 courses.

These available courses are Crop Production and Fish Husbandry and five more courses are to be expected being offered in the near future; Forestry, Poultry and Livestock, Agricultural Mechanics, Food Processing and Seafood Processing.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
